Thats a realistic option now we're in Tier 3. Be great if we could get a season long loan from a Prem club like Stockport did with Louie Barry.

We used to have a brilliant relationship with Liverpool. They have a U21 player called Tom Hill who is an attacking box to box midfielder- something we lack. Plus Lewis Koumas (son of Jason) who has been banging in the goals.

... go on then I'll start the ridiculous rumours ... Owen Beck & Lewis Koumas on season long loan

We are absolutely the perfect team for any premier league club to loan a youngster. Big expectant crowds, huge exposure and scrutiny, media coverage on par with most premier league clubs and a well run club. Now playing at a good level. Most premier league youngsters have the ability but maybe not the mental strength or application consistently due in part because of that exposure. They do it at wrexham likely goner do it for their parent club.

Or we did with Okonkwo lol...but yes there'll only be more options available now.

I agree. It makes perfect logical sense. Somehow I’m still skeptical that it happens.

you're right .... but the question more is ..... are these premier league youngsters perfect for us ..... and by us I mean the team - we're never going to pack the team with a large group of premiers league loanees as that would jeopardise the team dynamic , the closely knit group who have achieved so much .....

... Parky will want to ensure that continues - we might see one , at most 2 loanees come in , but we're far more likely to bring in championship quality players permanently who want to buy into the project for the long term

Definitely we are in a unique position where we can choose the best and has to be the right choice for us. I think we as a club will have first refusal on a lot of players. I don't see us bringing in more than 2 maybe 3 at the absolute most. Parky will use it very wisely but the majority of our incoming will be lower level championship players.

One big advantage is having so many top class academies on our doorstep. English academies are excellent now. We could even get a player from France also.

Does anyone know what happens with salaries for young loan players?
Is it split between clubs or is it variable?

Most likely some form of negotiation on the loan deal. Supposedly we were paying 40% of Arthur's wages from Arsenal so that's obviously part of the back and forth.
