Wilkin didn't have that luxury.

We're aren't challenging for the Premier league title, the majority of the sides in our division change the team every season, if the opportunity is there to go for the title you have told going for it.

I think what we all want to see is progress. Clearly there's been progress off the pitch since Mills went with decent players (on paper anyway) being signed, teams being watched, video analysis being used, GPS vests etc etc.

What we're yet to see is significant progress on the pitch. Remember some of the performances at the start of Mills' reign were actually enjoyable. Put all the processes in place off the pitch and in theory everything should fall into place on the pitch shouldn't it?

Sadly, theory doesn't always become reality.

But I don't disagree with you Pagl they are a delicate lot these day's, how would they have coped on the pitches of the 60/70s mud patches.

I did put a Devil 👿 pic in to show I'm teasing, also I never mentioned anything about throwing money at it. The fact is now the transfer window is closed the best players have been signed up, that leaves loans who are usually inexperienced kids or players without a club ( must be a reason) so it's then down to chance that we sign one of these and it works out, it's only late September first day of Autumn the league hadn't taken shape yet, looks like Harrison has turned Hartlepool around 5 games unbeaten.

Build the Budget made a "massive difference" in getting players - two year contracts for the entire back 4 cited.

There is still money in the playing budget.

Great news about the concerts. Should cover the rent this year I reckon with maybe some left over.
