I used to use another one called Robins Online, anybody remember that? Not sure if it was linked to other clubs forums like Blue and Amber for Shrewsbury. It was a right blag to read where you have to click each reply to read it. Can't believe since teams still have that!

The topica was run under wrexham@topica.com if anyone can find any archives!

Digital history is getting better, but there is a gap for the early days of the internet, so anything that can be found is worth preserving.

Think about trying to do the history work on The massive Wrexham AFC history thread (The sad case of a founding members and player of Wrexham...) from the 90's - 2018!

Seem to remember that we closed one board to move to the current one, and you had to re-register? I think I jumped in very early on 6th October 2004, and was possibly the first registrant. This board, and its various predecessors and competitors, have contributed immensely to the Clubs survival and its current bloom of health.

I used to check it religiously for transfer news back in 2002/2003. And as you say, we all had to re register. back in 2004.

People like to constantly stick the boot in to RP, and as you say, sometimes its less than savoury. But its a great resource and I'd love to see league table of club messageboards, because I 'd say we must have one of the largest and most active. We can get more replies and views on some random thread in off topic, than most messageboards get in a whole year. Yes there are a few noisey whoppers, but thats the internet all over.

And lets not forget it was crucial during the Hamilton and Guterman years, and without RP there was no way we would been aware, and then raised the bond in such a short period of time.

Rob would love to know some stats. Amount of views, posts per day, per year etc.

Person with the most posts as well. I'm guessing Statto or FOG

He’s a Maths lecturer in Bristol University. From Bala originally. His brother and nephew both avid reds living in Newport. They all attend games home and away when they can.Hope he has no objection to me posting this.
