I felt not sacking Saunders was the best thing Moss ever did at Wrexham, for what it’s worth. Can’t think of much else. Can you?

Yes, Saunders was loyal to the point in time when he found out that the pot of money (you know, the money that Moss stole from the Club) had all gone.......

He was loyal till somebody offered him a better job with more money in the football league, does that sound familiar about an ex player who left us with the end of season in sight? No loyalty into football, no escaping facts either Saunders like him or loathe him left us with the best chance of promotion since down here, the money spent is only what Moss allowed him to, I don't blame Saunders for the fact Moss was a prick, friend or no friend of his.

I accept that completely. I would say though (and have done previously) that Keates’s situation was a bit different, hometown Club, financial security etc. I would also estimate that Saunders has made more money over his career than Keates, and he was probably on a bigger wedge than Keates as Manager here.

Saunders did leave behind a very good side but he, by comparison to any other Manager since we've been down here had far more money given to him. And yes, Moss is a prick!

He also had to replace decent players at this level with a reduced budget.... and surprisingly we ended up with lesser players. Lesser players that we haven’t been able to improve on since. It’s not down to money though, - all the best team pay their top players in peanuts and expect promotion!

It proves that Saunders really didn’t do such a good job as his budget was much more than those who proceeded him.

Morrell did an excellent job with Saunders' team. Even I will admit that I'd struggle to see him beating 98 points. That said, would Fowler have left with Saunders at the helm? Would better players have come in January ? I think we all know the answer to those questions and at the end if the day, we can talk about tactics and formations all day long but you and I both now the bottom line in winning games of football are players. Period.

i) He was on a large wedge for doing the job
ii) He wasted a shed load of cash in the transfer market
iii) He then spent another wedge on large contracts.
iv) He left when he had a better offer
The Trust picked up the pieces left by the robber barons
