Personally think the clubs platform proposal is very poor as it us nit part if an existing stand.

Re the umbrellas, whilst not perfect, is there a short term compromise to be had? On most games there is enough space for an able bodied person sitting in row 2 or 3 to move higher up the stand and then maybe the understanding is that when the stand us full umbrellas are not used

Thanks Haruki. This very reasoning [re umbrellas] was argued by the DSA [don't know if its in the minutes ... should look at 'em really!] at the meeting,we're just looking for a bit of flexibility from the club on this.

Interesting, since writing this an hour or so ago based on the DSA members postings on here I have since read the clubs members mail explaining their reasons for the platform location it certainly puts a different light on things. It looks like the DSA's proposal hampered capacity, permanently housing away fans in the BK Conceots stand and access to facilities so the clubs thinking is more understandable. Personally I am still uncomfortable with putting the platform in its own specific area that feels a bit 'shoved in the corner" but do emphasis that in the current stadium there is no easy solution. Here's hoping we get a new Kop stand with great facilities for all fans in the near future

Yes,the perceived problems with the Yale stand plan were put to the DSA and were recognised fully, but we believe there may be ways around this.

Hmmm now that statement does put a completely different angle on things!

Well thought out by the club reading through it. Addressing the need for more space without costing a large number of seats.

I get the not included in a main stand but this seems a far better solution than it appears most clubs even at a high level are willing to engage with.

Phil salmon is a good call on project lead

Yes,seats ... most of which are unused, and will probably remain unused for the forseeable future.

WCBC's safety officer is a stickler for the official guides on accessibility in our experience.
We have identified 4 areas where the club's plan does not meet the guide.
Particularly our first plan for platform 2 was turned down due, in part, to our plan not being accessed by a lift.
Which the club highlights as a plus in their plans.

Appreciated, but this must also be about future planning? As a fan base/club hopefully we will be in a position that at times every seat is a commercial asset to the club?

The proposed platform offers increased capacity and perhaps in the future with a new kop an inclusive, modern option can be built and the 2nd platform offer an away option......long term seems sensible

If we want to meet our obligations for minimum standards in a new Kop then currently we will need 62 wheelchair users spaces plus 5 more for every 1000 seats in a new Kop.
