It's the fans I feel sorry for. 380 today travelling and rewarded with what sounded a very poor performance with very little to cheer. Continuously 2nd to the loose ball and ball watching as they nipped in.

Unless someone at the game has a different story to how it sounded and a text I got from customer who is a Sutton fan. He asked how the F are you 2nd?

Sutton losing 4-0 on Tuesday was always going to make this game difficult. Harrogate also got badly beaten today but they are different - the defeat may have burst their bubble so it should make it hopeful territory for us on Tuesday.

We have only lost twice this season unfortunately against teams in the top 6.In addition in both defeats the performance have been awful.Last week i thought the first half performance was the best we have played for 10 years today and Solihull have been hugely disappointing. Clearly we are inconsistant and work in progress. The squad is the best we have had for a few years Potential champions? Not for me as we are probably 3 players short of that sort of team. Play off contenders probably but as we know even if we make them they are just a complete lottery. See you all at Harrogate

Interesting reading everyone's perspective. The pitch is what it is. Awkward bounce and personally hated playing on this stuff myself, especially defending on it but it's the same for both teams so you've gotta beat them to everything and out battle them.

This was a fondop game for me personally. No issue though as we smashed ebbsfleet last week at you gotta keep it the same. Would have liked JMD too, as I think he's due a run in the team he's tricky and defenders won't like to play against him on this type of pitch, his quality can show a little more

To me I look at it as if you get tonked your confidence is down and you're there for the taking. If we react like Sutton have today against us it shows the team has a bit of character. If not we move on and hope the rotation can find hungry players ready to scrap.

Have a little think about previous champions : Fleetwood, Crawley, Mansfield, Lincoln to name four. I just couldn't see any of those teams losing three nil at Sutton.
