The ball is moved across the back but there is no movement in front and the midfield 3 struggle to trap a bag of cement.

3 points in the bag but so frustrating watching so many players struggle with the basics.

People on here have disagreed with my comments about the basics and ball 🎱 retention but you can argue all you want when its a clear black and white situation.

Fk me that was awful to watch and isnt going to bring in the floating fans.

I could really go a beer now after watching that.
Goal from midfield and open play though pagl

Second half was as bad as anything I've seen since dropping into this league. Lack of any strategy other than lump it was worrying. Looked like they had the extra player not us. Shocking and depressing.

All eyes on Ricketts for me
What does the last statement mean ?

We won. Enjoy it.

This is it. As great and inspirational as he is I think it is Pearson who initiates the sit back and hold on attitude when we go in front. It’s just the way he likes to defend, he does not want to be caught high up the pitch. His Grimsby side was very similar also.

Well Mr Moyn, can you pick the bones from that? All the time you are smiley faced about anything to do with WAFC. That was so poor from an entertainment point of view. Some of them could not be bothered to challenge for a ball. No excuses.

No idea how we won that we couldn’t even keep posesion on our throw ins, awful game with three players going missing most of the game, don’t have to name them we all know who they were !

Agree with all the above

Basic skills not there in midfield and upfront.
None of the strikers can finish.
Playing so deep again.
Even the ball boys are time wasting now.

Reminds me of last season even though we are creating more chances.
Good job the defence is solid
Blood pressure meds required if this carries on.

positives- we are still at the top and will have the money to strengthen in January.

Lucky, lucky, lucky. A very poor performance with only a well struck goal against the run of play to win 3 valuable points. SDR has some major headaches to resolve for Sat against Gateshead.

Roberts, Lawlor, Lainton and Beavon deserve their win bonus, but the others ranged from average to dog-shit!

Must do better!

Default Re: Hartlepool - hard work

Bloody awful.

Their keeper made a howler for the goal and being outclassed by ten men for the whole of the second half is pathetic.
It's a hangover from the late equaliser from Chesterfield, we were just so nervous and terrified of it happening again, that we went out of our way to make it happen again. Thankfully it didn't happen again.

Fondop touted as a super sub who can change games, I don't know about that but he needs to change his boots, he must have borrowed his off coco the clown as every time he gets a shooting opportunity he falls over.

Pearson at it again, throwing himself to the floor and dragging their bloke down with him risking giving away a penalty, needlessly.
Jenno gobbing off at the linesman because he felt a decision was a bad one (it happens, get over it) and then giving the ref verbal as much as he can ever since that decision, risking getting booked, needlessly.
The whole midfield giving stupid free kicks away half way into our own half needlessly.

When will they learn?

SORT IT OUT SAM!

But someone made a good point earlier, we are where we are despite our performances. Hopefully we can improve and kick on which will see us pull away from the pack.
