Like most posters today, I am somewhat disappointed the Board didn't look further afield when making the appointment.

But we are where we are (crappy cliche) and we have to go forward with the team and DK in the driving seat. There have been quite a few comments like "leaving us in the lurch" and "jumped ship" which I can well understand. Two things about football I have come to understand are, most managers jobs eventually end in failure and any manager who performs well will be in the scope of clubs higher up in the pyramid. Walsall obviously felt, rightly or wrongly, that DK had done enough to become their manager. So it came to be.

I wonder if Lincoln fans now think the Crowleys have left them in the lurch as they were going well for possible promotion to the Championship.

The reality is, any manager or player performing well is fair game.

Disappointed as he left us at a crucial time so to get the job again seems wrong to me. However, I don't like the way the club's statement on it reads. Sounds like they're trying to prove a point.

You of course you have the right to do that. However how will that help the team? The decision has been made and whether we agree with it or not surely the best thing to do is get behind the new manager for the sake of the team.
