What decent players are going to sign for a club heading for National North?

Keates will probably sign the Telly Tubbies

Any player whose agent can fleece our club out of hundreds of £'s a week because we are desperate to get out of this mess. The wage bill has just gone through the roof!

I welcome the tone of the statement but for me it's too little too late. We are obviously in a relegation dogfight. We shouldn't be here but we are by no means the only team this has happened to. Frankly as far as on the field operations if a management team came in from Chester to deliberately sabotage the football club they couldn't have done a better job than the present incumbents. Absolute disgrace. Changes need to be made straight away.

What planet are you on? You want to give Keates our final chance of servival, that's if we're not completely out of the game by then.

Do you not consider that they have had ample chances?

How many chances do you think the board should be given to make an effective managerial appointment?

The one thing the current board cannot say is that they haven't had chances to correct their ongoing errors in running the football side of this club.

As much as I appreciate that they have at least acknowledged that we’re in serious trouble, I and many fans, will not feel confident that they can turn it round.
The issues will not be resolved by just throwing more money at it willy nilly. Our squad, on paper, is capable of top half, so I can’t see us actually attracting much better quality. It’s down to the management and the coaching staff for me that will make the biggest impact. My worry is that we squander any remaining budget we have by trusting an incompetent management team, not being able to avoid the drop and leave us playing in the 6th tier with no money to dig us out.

I bet getting rid of Pep Darlington alone would help. Why keep a coach that's useless and the players hate?

Virtually every player signed since Darliola has been there has gone backwards in terms of development. Hard to think of any player who has developed positively .

I've asked loads of times on here for someone to name one player he's improved. I'm still waiting because there aren't any and he's a total fraud.

PCR - do you think Keates is likely to be able to make signings who will turn things around, given his track record in this area?
