We have become a mid table national league team, check the stats under fan ownership of final league standings that’s what fan ownership has brought.... shambles.
And things were so much better before, administration, relegation, struggling at the foot of NL, massive debt followed by another relegation. We finally had a couple of good seasons under private ownership down here, but at the cost of losing the Racecourse and Colliers and an unsustainable wage bill.

Whether fan ownership is the answer remains to be seen, but for certain it will only work if the vast majority of our fan base hold their nerve and buy into it. More and more teams are looking at some form of fan ownership as a model for the future, we just need to find the right model for Wxm FC.

After this season of failure on the pitch, a full review is required into the state of the current model and our financial clout going into next season.

I am confident that the club will end the season in the upper half of the league - more by luck than good judgement. We have to recall the fact that all involved took Wrexham to the bottom of this dire league.

It's not where you start, it's where you finish, but point taken, anything less than 7th has to be failure, success has to be,there abouts for the title and at least a top 3 finish. DK will get the benefit of another season and the board will take the rap, but it needs to be proven they provided BH with the resources, as well as shoulder their mistake of appointing him before making sure DK gets a top 3 budget next season.

Meaningless corporate speak is things like 'blue sky thinking', 'touch base' etc just meaningless.

But applying project management methodology to a football club business seems to make perfect sense to me, as long as it isn't used in team affairs. But the RACI model stated that it wasn't, that was down to the manager.

What model would you apply to running the club?
Eh? A strategic management model isn't a strategy in itself. Just say what the strategy is in simple terms. At my company we are advised to cut down on technical jargon when dealing with colleagues from other departments, however ar Wrexham fc we use it when communicating with customers!!

The current modern way of doing things is cutting out the jargon and making things that clear and easy to follow even the thickest of people will understand fully.

Spencer Harris' way is a good 10 - 20 years out of date and he's most definitely not a project manager in any shape or form. All hit and hope and my way or the highway. I'd find it hard to believe he's Prince2 certified, I doubt any of them are, which would explain a lot.

I take your point Dave that starting in the lower reaches can be turned around but the club were rock bottom half way through the season. Sure we agree things are in the up (hoping)

Can you imagine Pryce Griffith having a "strategic management model"???

Here's a nice example of business jargon (from a tv business programme), which I am willing to donate to DK for one of his post-match interviews:

"Maximise the upside potential".

Yeah look, like you said, results haven’t been good enough but the lads are working hard in training, we’re going to maximise the upside potential, get a couple of bodies in the building and we go again against Dagenham
