Just taking the first offer is not smart business practice.
You miss my point. The Trust elected the board to enter these negotiations for them. Presumably they have done that and thought of the things you mention . Not sure why you think you can suddenly have an Input into discussions that have already been made on your behalf?
Why is it you have always been a staunch advocate of supporting the board in acting for us but as soon as they are selling the club you want to override their decision?

I think it just about worked based on having 2600 fans at all games but that seems impossible now.
There was a 150k shortfall but we'd have received a furlough payment, the 50k covid loan, stream money, the money the trust made over the season and hopefully some cup money. You could then start selling season tickets earlier than normal for the next season.
We'd end the season flat broke but could survive.

Of course that all goes out the window with every game behind closed doors or if the season doesn't even start.

Some caution is needed to avoid the scenario you fear. However...

They haven’t yet bought it.

We don’t yet know what they plan to do with it, or for how long.

And, finally, their names are their brand; hence why jeopardise that to sell to a Hamilton?

Things are moving apace. Instead of imagining the worst-case scenario, why not wait a few more days and see what they propose?

Cheers - that sounds risky but not as desperate a situation as I’d feared. Unfortunately, as you said, lack of crowds would almost certainly be the death knell for us (and dozens of other clubs, I’d imagine.)

Prepare to be amazed, although the negotiations are done and have been for some time.

As I said at the time Budgeting on crowds of 2600 on an uncertain Covid environment was suicidal.....unless of course the sale agreement emma’s already been made with R and R which is why Todd thinning he can waltz in and make demands on that agreement is lunacy.

thanks for the response PD. I suppose that i am hoping that this has been addressed in some way and that there will be something in the proposal.

I hope this means we will re-sign Callum Powell.
