They looked well organised and all seemed to know their roles. Keates' rabble look far from that and he has them all week every week.

You must be or you would be like most of us as Welsh football fans, scarred by Anfield 1977, Ninian Park 1985, Cardiff Arrms Park 1993 and the Millienium Stadium 2003.

All heartbreaking occasions where we entertained for sure but just didn't have that killer instinct and sheer grit to get over the line. Give me a dour 1-0 win any day over a heroic, attacking defeat.

We are a tiny nation punching way above its weight with a plethora of youngsters who are coming through who look so comfortable in the environment.

I think Giggs has done an incredible job results wise when you consider the absentees and has qualified for a major tournament at his first attempt and currently sits top of the Nations League group. "Lucky late goals" (What exactly was lucky about them ?) ha, What I would have done for a late "Lucky" Welsh goal in any of the above games.

Cheer up, it's good being a Welsh football fan whether you like the manager or not
I don’t mind Giggs tbh, wasn’t my first or second choice But I’ve said fair dos to him on getting us to only our 3rd finals ever.

I am old enough to remember some of the bad times. I get frustrated that as you say we have a good group of young players coming through but at times we struggle to string a few passes together or even look comfortable on the ball and we know they are capable of doing it.

Amen to that great post. I well remember the games you mention and was at Anfield for the infamous penalty. Last night the passing was good the tempo was excellent. The lads worked incredibly hard pressing bulgaria when they had possession. Lastly we won. Well done Giggs.

Last nights game i thoroughly enjoyed, they ran there goolies off pressing all over the pitch against a horrible team that was very street wise. I thought our local lad Nico Williams was class. Giggs had to give youth a chance last night with all the withdrawals and boy did they come up trumps.
Like Bigdave said previously, all the past heartaches. I was at every one of those games with the Joe Jordan hand ball. Drowned our sorrows in a pub on the outskirts of Cardiff full of Scotch.

Maybe he's thinking of the Dave Phillips handball against Scotland at Ninian Park in 1985. The night Jock Stein tragically died of a heart attack.

I think we were 1-0 up and heading to Mexico 1986 until that penalty incident with around 10 minutes left.
