I thought the midfield looked a lot better today, against a decent opposition midfield. Although I don't disagree we need investment in that area. They are definitely a bit one dimensional. Young is the player who needs upgrading imo, James Jones is looking better with every game and I thought Davies looked excellent today.

I was impressed with Young after the sending off to be fair. He put a lot of effort into protecting the lead.

I thought David Jones was a strange signing at the time and l still do . Redmond or Jarvis must not impress in training, but l think PP has made a mistake not getting another midfielder in ,,and also as l said D Jones .

McAlinden looked way off it when he came on, touch let him down on a few occasions when we could've counter attacked. Also christ knows why he tried to square it when he was through on goal.

If he's first to come in when there's injuries or suspensions in midfield I'd be worried.

There must be some free agents out there we can take on til January?

Agree with all of this.

Its a hard game to come into cold though.

James Jones, Luke Young and MacAlinden for me.

Whoever is showing up best in training out of Redmond and Jarvis on the bench

Young needs to improve massively. Seems like having better players around him is making him stick out a bit.

Absolutely mental takes in here.

David Jones first yellow was a professional foul. Took one for the team. His second was foolish. Still managed to be more composed than the entire midfield three had been for the previous hour or so.

Luke Young is just not good enough and the clapping thing he does which I guess he thinks Captains do is pretty weird. Don’t think he knows quite what midfielder he wants to be either.

Jordan Davies looked good when he was on the park, but he really doesn’t belong in a flat midfield three

James Jones had some good touches but he’s not as powerful or as strong as I was hoping.

McAlinden caused them more problems in the last ten than we’d caused them in the final 30

I must've watched a different game. I didn't see Jones do a thing before foolishly getting self off. McAlinden looked like he'd never played football before.
