Default Re: Phil Parkinson reaction to Maidenhead

In the interviews he always seems to come across as "not interested" or CBA. Whether he thought by dropping a league to manage, that he would walk it, I'm not sure. But it does seem that he is agitated by something.

Given the players he has signed, plus the "good" players that were signed on before he joined, its only half of "his" team.

However, given who he has signed, on paper we should be winning matches. And certainly be higher up the league than we currently are. Without Mullin we are not looking like a team that will achieve promotion. Whether that is by winning the league or through the play offs!

Hopefully more recruitment and changes come January!

After having watched the highlights he knew what had happened with the red card

very much in agreement - he knew full well ! But there you go, which would you prefer to lose for three games - a defender or a prolific goal scorer ?

PP isn’t the ranting type, so the comments about a lack of passion demonstrate a lack of understanding of the man. He was not a ‘happy bunny’ about the weak defending and the Red Card decision by the linesman who was the only one to see anything. That incident changed the game even though we had already conceded 2 sloppy goals in a few minutes.

All the hard work to get us back in the game is then wasted by another defensive cock-up when we lose a 2 v 1 for their winner — their only real effort in the second-half.

Fans are correct that the buck stops with PP. Our performances so far have not been conclusive and are too often second best. Essentially, the team performances are not as good as the individuals’ are capable of giving. In Mullin we have an exceptional player at this level, but he is not getting the support he needs.

Saturday’s game has the potential to become a circus full of joy or horror. Best PP gets it right with our ineffective defenders (mostly on the LHS) whilst also playing football on the ground if the newly relaid pitch allows.

My main gripe to date has been the style of footbal played. Some woeful performances with Marine(first game) absolutely dire. We will not win every game nor put in the perfect performance every time we take to the field but we seem lost at times, with no obvious plan. I expected more from this squad and management. That said, since changing formation we have looked better. More chances made and a far more exciting watch. Is Tozer our missing CDM answer? Not sure, but he wont not play,so its either that or we will revert to a 5 at the back, because again, cant see Hayden or Biscuit being dropped now either. Sort midfield out in January and I believe we will have something, maybe a solid run going into next season. The bottom line, with the finances available, if we dont acieve promotion at the latest, next season, then there are certainly no excuses.

Lacklustre passionless? He's being interviewed straight after losing the game, he strikes me as a quiet guy anyway, what were you expecting off him cartwheels after a disappointing defeat. I read fans saying he should go because he does not go over to them and clap, he praises the support in the interview.
