Anyone who thinks we can go ahead and sign players with no guarantee of income is deluded. The reality is that the club is effectively closed down and will remain so until the National League decide how they want to restart. I would not be surprised to see any new players recruited on a part time basis.. We would have to pay the full time players under contract but I see no problem running the club with a mixture of both. Absolutely no point making forward plans in any detail until we have some structure for the coming season
Others will if they get a reasonable hint of what's to come in the future, guaranteed the good players won't wait around to see what Wrexham decide to do. They'll sign to anyone providing the deal is satisfactory, they've bills to pay like anyone else.

It's further complicated in Wales by dithering Drakeford.

We're in a very weak position.

The Clubs that can afford to gamble will make a killing here. There will be some good league players without Clubs (and pay) who will go to Clubs who can pay them rather than Clubs they would like to play for.
The Clubs that have rich owners/backers and who are prepared to splash out will dominate next season (whenever that may be) Tradition will count for nothing, neither will the levels of support, as always it will be down to cash.

You only have to look at the employment prospects around Wrexham and North Wales to see it's going to be very difficult for the club going forward. Employment prospects weren't the best during the boom years, hence the youngsters moving away.

It'll likely be clubs around the big employment hubs and cities who'll be well off, we may have to go part time and in many areas we've been that for years.
As far as the Airbus situation is concerned, Chester, Tranmere, Everton and Liverpool will be affected in equal measure - no comfort in that though

Saw this on facebook - the lads are still waiting for a decision?

So the club has produced the Retained and Released List (plus other sections) - I can imagine for the players concerned it must be a relief to know where they stand.
Wonder whether the lads in our current U19 set up, who contributed to our Scottish Cup jaunts this season and who ended the season as Champions of Division H, have heard anything concerning their positions?
The club was pleased to announce their status as Champions but I’m sure the lads and their parents / guardians would long to know what their individual statuses would be for next season so they may be able to plan accordingly.

Would be better to offer terms to 2/3 of the youths rather than the not good enough Dibble and Rutherford.
