After Manny gets red carded other players are in close proximity to the ref. It's not until a bit later that Carrington appears in the screen from the left so has arrived on the scene if you like as a latecomer.

But what was said ? we don't know and players may question the ref but not 'tell' him - perhaps rather than surround the ref and all have a go it would be better if any 'representation' was made by one person ' the skipper Pearson - that way the ref would probably provide a better response. As I said we just don't know what was said - it will end up in the referees match report - claimed by the ref and denied by the player(s).

DK needs to sit down with the squad and drum it into their heads because we cannot afford to lose players for dissent and serving suspensions with such a small limited squad.

Sorry Inside Left, you are talking bollocks. Manny Smith challenged for the ball and actually won it. The LOTG amended during the close season state that if a player makes a genuine challenge for the ball in the area and a penalty is awarded the sanction to be applied is a yellow card. OK a slight interpretation by me but a quick summation.
The red is totally inappropriate. I would argue that the referee can't see the challenge anyway because he is behind the players. Believe me if that had been on MOTD, they would have been calling for him to be sacked.

Whatever Carrington said probably included offensive, abusive or foul language and that got him a yellow. His original caution is laughable and I bet the assessor was tearing his hair out. Mr Aiston should be sent back to parks football after that game. There are better referees refereeing in the Welsh National than him.

So I would love to hear your reasoning for a lack of discipline cos so far the only lack of discipline is questioning the ref on the LOTG.

The ref is clearly out of his depth, the worst ref i seen last season and hasnt improved looking at the Maidstone highlights.

No way that is a sending off for Manny, it has to be appealed.
Carra probably said enough to get the second booking but that is never a booking for the first!
The outcome might not have been any different but that was an appalling display by the ref.

An appalling decision for the sending off and understandable for team mates to question it. If Carrington used inappropriate language, it wouldn't have happened if the inept decision hadn't been made in the first place.

Isn't this the same Ref who sent two Tranmere players off on the opening day? His card count is astronomical already this season.

This referee clearly suffers from little man syndrome. Manny doesn't appear to catch the player the player seems to kick Mannys foot as the tackle is made. Mannys red should be overturned on appeal.

I do not think you can appeal a yellow card so even if Carringtons first was deemed harsh his second was for dissent and that cannot be appealed either.

Watched after reading all the comments and I'm still disgusted by the ref. I remember him from last season, he was dreadful then too.

I try my best not to criticise refs too much as it's a difficult job. But there's no defending that. He should never ref another game in the conference. Out of his depth. It looked like a decent challenge from Manny. But even so, it was never in a million years a red card. Fine, give the penalty, I can accept that as a mistake (only just). But a straight red? No way. Don't want to see him ref a conference game again and hope his superiors send him straight back down the leagues. Absolutely shambolic.

Dont know why some people think Dibble was at fault for the 1st goal. A great ball played into the attacker, and a good header. Simply.
Would need to see the 2nd one from behind the goal before giving an opinion on that.

Never a pen, never mind a sending off.
