They sound like ditherers to me if they are waiting. If they cared about the club they should have been going to the club in January.

Wilkin had less cash to work with but he was used to that at Nuneaton. Who knows what would have happened if he would have given Keates the chance as his assistant.

Changing the board? Apart from Barry Horne, who on the board in the last 150 years has been an experienced 'football' man? Our (and many other clubs) boards have consisted of travel agents, used car salesmen, butchers, window fitters, solicitors, builders, farmers, coach drivers and green grocers etc etc. Ousting the current board will achieve nothing, maybe we should be looking to a loyal, local, former senior player to be co-opted onto the board to oversee the football side of things. A certain ex-manager would have been ideal if he hadn't sided with the asset strippers.

We just need to find the right manager. Its that simple.

When we do all this will vanish. To be fair they gave DK the biggest budget so far under WST ownership and it wasn't far off getting us into the play offs. Luck just crapped on us again. Plus an inexperience manager signing duds in a few positions. He needed more time, clearly. I think had DK stayed we would have made the play off's though. It all fell to pieces pretty quickly after he'd gone.

We've made some bad moves no doubt but name a club that hasn't?

We're still got pull in this league.

This time next year we'll be in league two. Damn good ale this.

Good post

The problem we have is 1 really poor season now will hit us financially and undo all the good work.

As I have said before the main issues lie with the WAFC board not the WST board and this is the main challenge and priority.

Easier said than done? I think it should read ‘we need to find an experienced manager’, who can recruit the right players...Flynn anyone?

What's the issue you have with the WAFC board?
After all most of them are WST Trust board members.
They co opted Phil Salmon to oversee Stadium maintenance etc. and he's probably put in more man hours than most.
